Watch, learn, and dance at this community celebration of National Dance Day! Launched in 2010 by The Dizzy Feet Foundation and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, National Dance Day encourages Americans to embrace dance as a fun and positive way to maintain good health. Come as you are and soak up the summer with dancing, music, food, and more in the heart of the nation’s capital.

GENERAL SCHEDULE:

2 p.m. – National Dance Day activities
National Dance Day will feature special guest dancers, interactive dance lessons, and performances in a wide variety of dance styles, as well as the official National Dance Day routine for this year’s event, led by a well-known dance star, to be announced.

7:30 p.m. – Dancing Under the Stars
Dancing Under the Stars begins with a beginner-level swing dance lesson by Gottaswing, followed by two hours of dancing with The Tom Cunningham Orchestra.
