SFP Editor: What inspired you to become a photographer?
Alexander Feshenko:
When I was 6-years-old my mother put me into Sunday art school which
I attended for 10 years.
A few years ago I just thought to myself - I have to utilize all those
artistic abilities of mine a bit better !
That is how it all started.
SFP Editor: How did you come up with your latest collection?
Alexander Feshenko:
I visited quite a view different places in the recent year and thought it
would be a good idea to bring all the very latest works together under
one roof, calling it the "Recent World Confessions" collection.
SFP Editor: What tips do you have for aspiring photographers?
Alexander Feshenko:
Have your camera with you always - You never know when you going to
fall in love!
SFP Editor: What do you find to be the most challenging about taking photos?
Alexander Feshenko:
You never know what you going to get.
It may look very good over all, but not through the lens, and the
direct opposite!
SFP Editor: Name one place you would love to visit and photograph? Why this location?
Alexander Feshenko:
South East Asia, definitely.
Mix of colors and shapes is so deep & intense - a photographic heaven!
SFP Editor: What brought you to DC and where/what have you enjoyed
photographing the most in DC?
Alexander Feshenko:
My dear sister recommended I come to join her in the District, as she
was already establishing her life here, few years out of Russia.
As I didn't know any better, I just came. And I have to say, it was a
very good choice - it can not get much better then this.
